Allow me to introduce myself.

After spending a considerable amount of time involved in researching defence and foreign policy for foreign governments, writing countless speeches, reports, and numerous things in-between, in the lead-up to my half-century I decided I needed a sea-change.

For some, that involves selling up, moving out, and doing something that up-ends their life completely so as to make a definitive break with their past.

That's not me (yet), but I wanted to tap into a latent desire to create things that had laid dormant in my mind for some time.

So in taking up a range of digital art disciplines, I'm on a journey of exploration, seeing just how well I can convey what's in my mind into pixels on a screen.

Some things will work, some won't, but it's all in the eye of the beholder (that's you).

Everything on this site has been created by yours truly, although I will try to imitate some pictures (particularly digital art) that I like and have tried to re-create by hand. In such circumstances, I will acknowledge where I got the idea from so you can compare my work with the original.

Life is too short to be bound to one discipline, so I'll experiment across a myriad of styles (although I have a soft spot for antiquarian art styles and mid-century fonts!).
